Best french toast ever, and great service

I just love this little diner. It does take out as well and you can get breakfast any time of the day. I have several favorite dishes and I highly recommend this dinner. We frequent this diner quite often. They are open late Wednesdays through Friday and they are open till mid afternoon on Saturday and Sunday.

Average American diner. Food is solid, but plain and uninspired. These owners need to take a field trip to Connecticut to O'Rourke's Diner. Order Brain's Breakfast. You have never had breakfast in your life, until you've been served breakfast by Brian O'Rourke. O'Rourke's urned down, so Brian decided he'd just retire. The town pulled together to rebuild it for him because they did not want to be without O'Rourke's Diner. I've stood in line in the snow an hour to eat there. I've tasted the food at Hillsboro Diner and can tell they have the talent and skillset to turn out something special everytime. All it would take is some inspiration, and there would be lines out the door.

The waitress was really good but didn't make up for the fact we waited 40+minutes to get our food after ordering it. The establishment was not busy at all it was the extremely poor cook staff! We're our meal finally arrived it was incomplete and sent back and other meal burnt entirely, having been in the business for a number of years I have a hard time understanding how a omelet can even take 40 minutes to complete. My honest opinion and suggestion fire the cook!

Great huge pancakes with real maple syrup with no extra charge. Great friendly service

I am a huge fan of egg's Benedict, these weren't to bad. The hollandaise sauce wasn't very tasty which kind of makes or brakes the meal. My son took one bite out of his pancake and took a pass. He did give the chocolate milk a passing grade it's mixed right in front of you.

I asked for steak and eggs. She said she she didn't have steak. But she had steak tips, which costs a little more. She gave me a steak cut into 4 pieces. She was looking at me dirty when I pulled in the parking lot. I think She's racist. It was the old lady that was cooking. The waitress was actually really nice. But that old lady needs to go ahead and kick the bucket.

We went for breakfast with the kids and loved it. The staff are friendly, professional and the food here was excellent.

Great seafood plates with large piece of haddock, scallops, clams, and shrimp. Can't beat the $9 special on seafood. Always great service.

Returned for nostalgia. The waitstaff was friendly. The coffee was fresh. The grill cook must have had a poor day. Food was not as good as past visits. French toast was soggy. Asked for a burger with an sunnyside egg on top, the egg was not runny.

Certainly a place worth trying, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the prices are reasonable and it is regularly neat in here. Highly recommended.

Unique little dinner, almost like stepping back in time.

I lived in Jersey for a couple of years. Jersey is famous for diners...Something I miss. Here in Hillsboro is a REAL diner. I had 4 eggs over medium (perfect), French toast (nice), and sausage. All great...The sausage was superb. The links were large and were exceptional. Whoever they get their sausage from I hope they continue with the same supplier. Good service. Looks like they serve breakfast all day. Also serve breakfast/lunch/dinner. JeffP

Stopped in on the way to Portland, Maine from Richmond, Virginia. Great breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere. The diner is made from an old street car. Very charming.

I love this place! Great diner foods, always yummy! Pancakes are great. They have a specials menu and are just a great place to eat! One of my favorite spots. Any place that has hollandaise on the ready, is awesome!
